With heavy hearts, the family of Santiago G. Abrigo, 64, of Normanna, Texas announces his sudden passing on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Jimmy, as he was lovingly known, was a kind and caring man. He was born on July 24, 1960, in Bee County to Tomas Abrigo and Maria (Garza) Abrigo. He attended Pettus High School and on June 30, 2012, he married Corina Munoz in Beeville. The couple made their home in Normanna where he enjoyed spending a lot of his time doing yard work. His greatest passions were listening to country music, playing his guitar and accordion and spending quality time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Maria Abrigo; his daughter, Mitchelle Guajardo; and three brothers, Robert Abrigo, Felix Abrigo and Guadalupe Abrigo.
Left behind to cherish memories of Santiago include his loving wife of 29 years, Corina M. Abrigo of Normanna; his beloved children, Crystal Renee (Frank) Trevino of Beeville, Darlene Arciba of Normanna, David (Nancy) Arciba, Jr. of Waxahachie and Jasper Victor (Erica) Arciba of Beeville; his precious grandchildren, Jimi Guajardo, Marcos Guajardo, Eliza Guajardo, Abi Arciba, Jayden Arciba, Roman Trevino, Katalina Trevino, Alexis DeLaCruz, Alize Arciba, David Arciba and Cipriano Arciba; his brothers, Tomas (JoLynn) Abrigo of Normanna and David (Becky) Abrigo of Houston; sisters, Maria Luisa (Melvin) Clark of San Antonio, Gloria (Jesse) Torres of Pettus, Linda (Francisco) Medina of Houston and Tomasita Benavidez of Tuleta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 12 o’clock. The funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating.
Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Abrigo Family Cemetery, Hwy. 181 North, Normanna, Texas 78142.
Pallbearers will be David Arciba, Jr., Jasper Victor Arciba, Jimi Guajardo, Marcos Guajardo, Frank Trevino, Tony Moreno Robert Diaz and Roland Jaure.
Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jayden Xavier Arciba.
