Born on May 30, 1961, in Manila, Philippines, Helen was the daughter of Celedonio Abrigo and Emilia Abrigo. Her life was defined by a profound commitment to service, an insatiable thirst for knowledge, and an unwavering love for her family.
Helen graduated from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines, where she majored in Medical Technology. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to her career as a professional Medical Technologist. Known for her tireless work ethic and impeccable professionalism, Helen was deeply respected and loved by her colleagues. Her kindness and genuine care for others transformed her workplace into a community where she was a mentor and a friend to many.
Outside of her professional life, Helen's world revolved around her family. She found her greatest joy in the company of her Mom, siblings, nieces, and nephews. A woman of deep faith and a love for discovery, she cherished family road trips that took them to various churches, parishes, shrines, and through the beauty of nature. She was also an enthusiast of the arts and culture, often spending time at the movies or exploring diverse cuisines with those she loved most.
Helen's legacy is one of selflessness; she was a woman who consistently placed the needs of her family above her own. Her fight in her final days was a testament to her strength, mirroring the dedication she showed throughout her life.
She is survived by a family that adored her and a community of friends and colleagues who were made better by her presence. Her life, though marked by a "good fight" at its end, was primarily rich with the love she gave so freely to others.
