In Loving Memory of Santo "Sal" Mazzola May 6, 1928 – September 27, 2025 Santo Mazzola, affectionately known as Sal, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Palm Coast, Florida, at the age of 97. Born in Tunisia on May 6, 1928, Sal's life was a testament to resilience, dedication, and quiet strength. From the age of 11, Sal worked full-time, embodying a work ethic that would define his life. At 22, he emigrated to Paris, France, where he refined his craft as a tailor and pursued formal training at the Académie Internationale de Coupe. In December 1953, he made his way to the United States, seeking new opportunities and a better life. In 1954, Sal met the love of his life, Ines Tobia. They married in October 1955 and built a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1958. Sal was a devoted father to Richard, Robert, and Laura, and a cherished father-in-law to Holly and Manny. His legacy lives on through his eight grandchildren: Nicole, Danny, Louis, Dante, Anthony, Armand, Alex, and Andre. Each of them carries forward his values of humility, perseverance, and integrity. Known for his modesty and strength, Sal never sought recognition for his accomplishments, yet he was admired by all who knew him. He was a serious man with a charming wit and a warm sense of humor. His presence was steady and reassuring-a true role model to his family and friends. Sal found joy in simple pleasures, especially fishing with his children aboard his boat near their beloved Jersey Shore vacation home. These moments, filled with laughter and quiet companionship, were among his most treasured. His life was one of quiet dignity, unwavering commitment, and deep love. Sal's memory will forever be a guiding light to those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
