On September 13th, 2024, Sara Ann Arnt of Shakopee Minnesota, passed away peacefully at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sara was 73 years young.
On March 7th, 1951 Einar and Jeanette (Swenson) Arnt welcomed Sara into this world in the small southwestern town of Tracy, Minnesota. She was the youngest of four children. Sara attended grade school and high school at the School for the Hearing Impaired in Faribault Minnesota. Here Sara enjoyed socializing with her friends and participating in the festivities of the school year. It was also here that Sara would meet her life partner, Reed Otterblad of Silver Bay, Minnesota. While Sara never married or had children, her and Reed shared a deep love for their many two and four legged fur babies. Raccoons, squirrels, parakeets, crows, ferrets, cats, dogs, ducks, and cranes have benefitted from the deep seated love Sara and Reed had for all animals. They all spoke the same language of love. She was very set in her ways.
After graduation, Sara found employment with Control Data, Animal Fair, and Coles Salon in Burnsville. Sara was quick and thorough at any jobs that required her to use her hands. When given the opportunity, Sara would crack Diet Pepsi and catch up on all the goings on in peoples lives. Sara rarely met a person who didn't consider her a friend. Family was very important to Sara. The loss of her mother as a child, and her father in her early adult life forever left an emptiness in her heart. After the death of her mother, Sara resided with her older sister Diane and family in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Preceded in death of her mother, father, brother-in-law, David Klocek, aunts, and uncles. Sara is survived by her life partner Reed Otterblad, and special pets; eldest brother, David (Carol) Arnt of Woodbury, sister, Diane (Gordon) Larsen of Lakeville, and Mariann (John) Storlie of Lakeville; nieces and nephews, Patti Larsen, Todd Larsen, Scott Arnt, Mike Arnt, Sonya Larsen, Jackie Poidinger of Minneapolis, and Annie Resop of Lakeville; many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Sara also leaves behind many cousins and extended family, and close friends whose relationships she cherished.
Memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr., Lakeville, Minnesota. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service.
Sara will be missed by her family
