Sara Flint Greenberg

Born in Ramat Hasharon, Israel, Sara was a child of survivors and came the U.S. at the age of two.

She was by turns elegant, radiant, powerful, brilliant and just - a teacher, an activist, an expert hiker, an accidental entrepreneur. Sara touched so many lives, loved so much and was loved by so many. She was, in her own words, "resilient." Friends prized her caring, compassion, intelligence and devotion. She lived in intersecting communities that shared one thing in common - their affection for her.

Sara is survived by her spouse, Nina Rota, her children Aaron and Jacob, stepsister Haleila Nusinow, and cousin Stuart Miller. She loved being a mother and successfully balanced family, career, appreciation for the arts, and the financial well-being of Edge Communications, Inc., the business she founded and helped run with her then-husband Ken in 1996.

Sara was diagnosed with ALS this past spring. From the outset, she committed to responding to the condition on her own terms, fueled by the love of her wife, her sons and her very dear friends. As she said to her children on her last day, "You can find me walking in the hills."
