Sara J. Kolasa, age 77, died November 9, 2023. She was born June 9, 1946 to Robert and Dorothy (Foltz) Burns. Sara was a kind loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She fought a long battle with cancer and other health issues. Her greatest joys were her faith in God and her family, especially her six grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Kolasa; her three children, Kimberly (Jim) Kinnear, Stephanie (Scott) Strunk, and Frank (Jill) Kolasa; grandchildren, Shannon (Nick) Shreffler, Patrick Kinnear, Brian Strunk, Ava Strunk, Casey Kolasa, and Evan Kolasa; sister-in-law, Ginger Burns; brothers, Denny (Karen) Burns, Mark Burns, Marvin(Lori) Esselburn; sister, Dolly (Russ) Allen; brother-in-law, Jim (Sam) Kolasa; sisters-in-law, Linda (George) Ebey, Sherry (Tom) Maxhimer, Carol (Wally) Bandurka; numerous nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Burns; In-laws, Frank and Irma Kolasa; brothers, Richard Burns, Donnie Burns; sister, Marjorie Jaramillo.
Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2023, 6-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be Tuesday November 14, 2023, 11 am with visitation 10-11am in the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Smith officiating.
Sara will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care for their special care.
