Sara Grace Marin

It is with heavy hearts we announce that on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, God called Sara Grace (Rael) Marin home.

Grace passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband Phil and daughters, Gina, Toni, and Felicia.

Born on October 16th, 1945, in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Antonio Rael and Secundina “Nina” Rael. She had cherished memories of living in a traditional adobe home near family members. She fondly recounted her father’s adventures as the town sheriff, his white horse and her puppy named Browntail. 

Her family moved to Pasadena, California when she was five years old. She often reminisced about attending Catholic school and watching the Rose Parade from her brother Tony’s business.

In 1964, she met her husband Phil (Feliciano) Marin at his Supper Club, La Bonita in Denver, CO. She was a devoted wife and mother of three daughters. She was beautiful, hardworking and compassionate. She worked hard to send her daughters to Catholic school and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and was an amazing cook. She welcomed everyone into her home, and no one left without her serving them a delicious homemade meal.

Grace also had a love for music and dancing. Her favorite sign in her kitchen reads “This Kitchen is for Dancing” and she was always a willing dance partner. 

In her professional life, she found fulfillment translating for Spanish speaking people at a dental office where she worked for many years and later became a medical interpreter for multiple hospitals throughout Denver.

She loved her family, beloved husband of 60 years, daughters, son-in-laws, her dog Maisy and grandchildren. 

Grace’s grandchildren were the joy of her life. She celebrated their accomplishments and talents. She loved each one of them individually and shared close relationships with them all.

Grace is survived by her husband Phil, children Gina (Ron), Toni, Felicia (Ken), and grandchildren, Lexa (Brad), Jake, Kayla (Darren), Jack, Caden, Max, Will and Piper. She will be deeply missed until we are reunited with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 27th at 10 AM at Pax Christi Catholic Church followed by a reception and Graveside service at 2 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
