Sara Mockles Obituary
Mockles, Sara Annette - Age 79, passed away on March 6, 2026 in Troy, Michigan. Sara will be laid to rest beside her husband at Meadowview Memorial Gardens in Davison. Sara was born on March 23, 1946 to the late Wayne and Addie (Purcell) Cogdill in Lockhart, South Carolina. She married her soulmate, David Mockles, in 1966 and they raised their family together in Swartz Creek, MI. Sara retired from General Motors after 20+ years of service and enjoyed crochet, playing Bingo, visiting with her great grandchildren and ‘people watching’.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, David and son, Steven. Surviving to celebrate her memory are her son, David (Sherry) Mockles Jr., brother, Wayne (Virginia) Cogdill Jr., sister, Linda Kish, granddaughters, Kristyn and Misty, and great grandchildren, Theia, Mia, and Enzo. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
