Sara Rose Raska-Lotts, 43, passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 in Topeka, KS from complications due to injuries from a house fire on Thanksgiving 2023. Sara was born on August 3rd, 1982, in Leavenworth, KS. The daughter of Lynie Thomas and David Raska.

Sara had such a big heart and loved spending time with her friends and family, including her daughter, grand-daughters, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Sara is survived by her father David Raska, mother Lynie Thomas, step-mother Kathleen Raska, step-father Steve Thomas, daughter Kimberly Lotts, grand-daughters Arabella Minifield and Caroline Ramage, sister Nancy Burns and spouse Cody Burns, sister Ashley Mathis, step-sister Kristina Stewart, step-brother Kristopher Stewart, sister Vicki Bird and spouse Dan Bird, and nieces, Gracelynn, Tinsley, Everleigh, Tessa, Natalee, and Felicity, and nephews Alex, Cooper, Kenneth, Ethan, and Evan along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sara is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Clara Raska, Cindy Reeves Kogut and Gerald D. Hansen Sr., brothers, David Christopher Raska Jr, and David Christopher Raska III.

Donations in her Honor can be sent to The Burnett Burn Unit at KU Medical Center, www.kumed.com/give.

Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 12 pm Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home located at 1321 SW 10th Avenue in Topeka. Burial will follow at Holton Cemetery.
