Sara Robinson

Sara Rosalyn (senior) Robinson born April 8th, 1926, in Winston-Salem in North Carolina to the late Marshall and Victora Presley Senior. Sara is the last surviving child of eight from this union.
She was employed at Holiday Inn as a supervisor and employed also at Clarks Window Cleaning Services. She retired when her father became ill so she could care for him until his passing on January 19, 1999, at the age of 97. She was a woman of big faith and little fear she prayed three of her sons back home safe and unharmed from the Vietnam War (George, Butch, and Charles). She would make care packages and send each one of them with a letter and a prayer tucked inside. Her hobbies included gardening, crossword puzzles, collecting bells and making dry flower arrangements. She was in love with cooking and trying new dishes that she learned on cooking shows. She was known for open house gatherings, big Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. In later years her and Debbie would start hosting mother and father day dinner parties and pre-Christmas mix and mingles. Her home was always inviting you could find all the neighborhood kids hanging at her home. She was a woman of overflowing love, and you were fortunate if you made that "list" of her holiday's calls. Just to say "hello darling I had to call you to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving, or Happy New Year. Anytime you come across trouble you knew to go to "mom sara" she would have you praying and reading from the book of Psalms that was her go to for peace in the time of trouble. So much so she could recite several Psalms word for word. As a child she and her siblings grew up attending and singing at Bethel AME Church in New Haven CT. Sara had the voice of a singing angel. She leaves the remaining children George (Mary), Charles, John (Catherine), Clifford (Adrienne) and Debra (Robert) and two honorable daughters-in-laws Linda Bray and Clemmy Johnson. Three generations of grands 67 total and she loved them unconditionally. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Marshall and Victora Senior, 3 sons Sam, Carl and Butch and 3 grandchildren Chauncey, Jahmal and Monique
She is gone but will never be forgotten, she had left an imprint for love in our heart forever.
