Sara Patricia Simpson (nee Malley), born October 22, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, died at age 87 on February 8, 2024 in Spring Hill, FL.  Sara, also known in her younger years as Pat, was married to Frank (aka Ralph) Simpson, who preceded her in death by almost 17 years. Sara has five children: Mark, Jean, Lee, John, and Joe.  The family lived in Levittown, NY and then moved to Spring Hill, FL in the 1980's. Her occupation was as a Registered Nurse, working in several different hospitals in the Spring Hill and Brooksville area. Sara is survived by her children and grandchildren - Mark (Jennifer) Simpson; Jean (Assaf Shaked) Hilyard, children: Samantha Head, Jackie and Scott Hilyard; Lee (Brian) Finnan, children: Alexandra (Ali), Ian, and Grace Finnan; John Simpson; Joseph (Kelli Gill) Simpson, children Nolan, Kellin, and Rowan Simpson.  Sara was one of five children and is also survived by her sister, Barbara Malley, a sister-in-law, and 12 nieces and nephews.
On Friday, February 16, 2024, a short visitation will take place from 10 - 10:30 am at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel at 3369 Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34609, followed by a mass at St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church at 5030 Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34609 at 11 am. Afterwards, Sara will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
