Sara Lee Storms West, 91, of Bladenboro, died Tuesday, March 18, at her home.
Mrs. West was a daughter of the late Woodie V. and Laura D. Storms of Bladenboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira W. West, Jr., her daughter Jackie West Page and son Jimmy West as well as siblings Mildred Storms Hilburn, Howard Storms, Weldon Storms, Harry Wade Storms, Brenda Joyce Storms, Roger Lane Storms and Jannette Storms.
Mrs. West is survived by daughter Sandra Cyphers Spitz (Ray) of Wilmington, NC and son Michael Dean West (Christy) of Wilmington, NC, daughter in law Pam West of Havelock, NC and son in law Tim Page of Dublin, NC. Mrs. West is also survived by her brother, Eugene Storms (Ann) of Bladenboro, and sisters, Linda Rising (Frankie) of Bladenboro, Annette Grimes of Tar Heel, NC, Patsy Green (Robert) of Centreville, VA, and Nancy Buchanan of Little River, SC, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and dear friend, Maria Bennett.
Arrangements are as follows: visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm at Bladen Gaskins Chapel 800 North Main Street in Bladenboro, NC. The funeral will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 3pm at Lennons Crossroads Baptist Church, Evergreen, NC and burial will be at Galeed Baptist Church Cemetery, Bladenboro NC immediately following service. The Reverend Fred Senter will officiate the services.
In lieu of food and flowers, memorials can be made to Lennons Crossroads Baptist Church, 13804 Hayes Lennon Hwy, Evergreen NC 28438.
The family would like to thank Angela Floyd, Peggy Mays, and the nurses and staff of Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Whiteville NC.
