Sara Stripling Obituary
Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Bibb County, Alabama on June 18, 1942, to her parents Wilton and Sally Johnson, both of whom preceded her in death.
Sara Nell is also preceded in death by her husband, Thad Stripling Jr.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Suggs Stripling; and siblings Hayward Johnson, Veda Vining, Wilton Johnson Jr., and Betty Stone.
She is survived by her children Larry Stripling, Dennis Stripling (Lori), and Kathy Holifield (Robert); her sister, Ruth Kornegay; and brother, Robert Johnson (Cathy). She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Brandon Holifield (Val), Cameron Holifield (Jamie), Christian Holifield, and Savannah McGee (Kade); and great-grandchildren Talen Holifield, Tenley Holifield, Kipton McGee and Adeline Holifield.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Pineland Memorial Park, 3101 Montgomery Hwy, Centreville, AL 35042.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Holifield, Cameron Holifield, Christian Holifield, Talen Holifield, Kade McGee, and Michael Kornegay. Honorary pallbearers are Nurses and staff at Bibb Medical Center, Dr. Connie Richardson and staff at ACG Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made at CarnationsFoundation.org in memory of our mother Sara Nell Stripling.
