It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Sara Joanne Taylor, who left us far too soon at the age of 20 on February 15, 2025. Born on November 14, 2004 in Houston, Texas. Sara was a cherished daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and aunt, and she was proud to be one half of a beautiful twin pair with her sister, Sarena. Sara brought joy and light to everyone around her with her infectious laughter and vibrant spirit. She had an immense love for her family, and her passion for life was evident in everything she did. Sara embraced every moment, creating cherished memories with family and friends, and her presence was a source of joy for all who knew her.
In addition to her loving spirit Sara was a dedicated mother to her 6-month-old daughter, Stellina, whom she adored unconditionally. The bond they shared was evident in every smile and laugh, and Sara treasured every moment spent with her little girl.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Stellina, her loving boyfriend Sean, her twin sister, Sarena, her parents, mother, Melonie Maynard and step dad, Tim Maynard, grandma Suda "Nanny" Smith, siblings Carlos Gauna and children Shaelyn and CJ, Maeghan Hiarker and husband Kyle, Birdie Gauna and children Evelyn Grace and A'mire Collins, Colton Taylor and wife Katie and their son Josiah Taylor, Tori Marshall and husband Max and their children Aubrey, Easton, and Dallas, step brother Chris Rodriguez and his children Emily, Ryley, Hailey and Autumn, aunts Lana Huckabay and family, Melinda Mikeska and her husband Glen, Mona Jimenez and Uncle Ruben, and cousins Ruben Jr., Deric, Jesse, Miranda, Joey, Nathanael, Micah, Gracie, Ellison and Gabriel along with their spouses and children, and a host of family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is preceded in death by her dad, Todd Taylor, Mimi, Lynda Levelle and Nanny's Papaw, Randy Smith.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home from 1pm to 2pm with a celebration of Sara's life to begin immediately after beginning at 2pm.
