Sara Maralene Udy, age 83, peacefully passed away on February 11, 2026, in Garland, Utah. She was born on August 28, 1942, in Malad, Idaho, to Ralph Derr Timpson and Ruby Levean Richards.
On December 26, 1984, Maralene married Jim Udy in Elko, Nevada, and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple.
Maralene attended Grantsville High School. She had a passion for crocheting and nurturing her yard, but the joy of being a grandmother was what she cherished the most. Maralene had many kids she called her own and they in turn called her mom. They shared moments, memories, love and laughter together. Family was everything to her.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Maralene was also actively involved in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jim Udy; her sons Eddie (Lynette), Greg (Pam), Shawn, T.J (Emmeli); her daughter Marcia (Cody); a grundle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Stacy and Katie, and her siblings.
Maralene will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all who knew her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to IHC Hospice for their compassionate care during this time.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton), followed by a graveside service in the Garland Cemetery at 2 P.M.
