Sarah G. Barlow, age 87, of Crestview, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Born on October 13, 1937, in Monroe County, Mississippi, Sarah was the second of eight children born to John Odom Cox Sr. and Era Lee Cox Hamilton.

After graduating high school, she moved to Northwest Florida, where she married the love of her life, Lowell Thomas Barlow Sr. Sarah began her professional career at Monsanto Company before working as a bookkeeper for 12 years at Barnett Bank. She later joined the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Department, where she served faithfully until her retirement in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Thomas Barlow Sr.; her parents, John Odom Cox Sr. and Era Lee (Hamilton) Cox; three brothers, John Odom Cox Jr., James Cox, and Jerry Cox; and one sister, Jewel Pridgen.

Sarah is survived by her children: Wayne Barlow (Debbie), Susan Wesson (Ronald Sr.), and Lowell Thomas Barlow Jr.; her sisters, Geneva Holcomb, Becky Gandy (Bill), and Ruth Polston (Charlie); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice for the compassionate care shown to their mother during her time of need.
