Sarah Ann Epstein

Sarah Ann Epstein of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away at the age of 85 at Christus St. Vincent Hospital, Santa Fe, on January 20th, 2026. At the time of her passing, Sarah was surrounded by loving family members.

Sarah was born August 24th, 1940, to Robert and Mabel Rhame in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota, and then worked in the restaurant business for many years. In 1996, Sarah moved from Minneapolis to San Francisco, California, where she worked and lived with her husband Jonathan until her retirement in 2012. Sarah and Jonathan relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2018, to enjoy the quiet comforts of Santa Fe. Family, friends, and her 9 grand children brought Sarah many wonderful moments. Sarah enjoyed exercising, long mountain walks, and was always excited to spend time with family and friends visiting or sharing a good meal.

Sarah is survived by her husband Jonathan Epstein of Santa Fe, daughter Jeanne (Blake) Dahnert of Minnesota, son James (Rebecca) Halkis of Missouri, grandson Adam Bryant, granddaughters Sarah Halkis, Naomi Halkis, and Alyssa Melancon, great grandchildren Lana, Jager, Sofia, Wesley, and Tobin.
