Sarah Elizabeth Hardison, 42, went to be with the Lord and Savior on March 9, 2024. She was born May 5, 1981, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Terry and Debbie Kemp Hardison. She was a 2003 graduate of Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She was a four-year letterman for the ASU Indians Women’s Golf Team. She moved to Memphis after graduation where she completed the Memphis Police Academy and worked for MPD in several different capacities for 10 years. Upon leaving MPD, she was employed as a Federal Probation Officer in Little Rock until her health forced her to take a leave of absence.
Sarah was an avid golfer and loved to compete. She loved and enjoyed playing golf with her many friends at Maumelle Country Club, especially the MCC Women’s group.
Sarah was preceded in death by her mother Debbie. She is survived by her father, Terry; brother, Kyle (Claire); partner, Rachael Rickford; nephew, Denver; uncle, Len Kemp (Denise); and aunt, Becky Warren (Bill). Also her beloved dogs, Imogene and Max; and cats, Ruth and Mildred.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Highway 107 Sherwood) from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Roy Thompson at Friendship Baptist Church (10150 Brockington Road Sherwood) on March 13, 2024, at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CARTI (CARTI Foundation, Sarah Hardison 8901 CARTI Way Little Rock, AR 72205) of Little Rock, Arkansas, or the Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA, Sarah Hardison Donations P.O. Box 30250 Little Rock, AR 72260).
