Feuerborn Family Funeral Service - IolaSarah Jane (Sally) Huskey, age 91, of Iola, Kansas, passed away March 30, 2026, at her home. Sally was born November 2, 1934, in Butler, Missouri, to Henry Sheppard and Adeline (Nentwig) Sheppard.
Sally graduated with a bachelor's degree from William-Jewell College. She and Robert Huskey were married on December 19, 1954, in Butler, Missouri.
Sally worked as a librarian for the Southeast Kansas Library System.
Sally was actively involved with the choir and handbells at the Iola First Baptist Church and Iola First Presbyterian Church. She was active in the community pantry, Sunday Soups, was a hospice volunteer, and had countless unofficially adopted kids.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, John Sheppard, and sisters, Betty Hinson, Mary DeArmond.
Sally is survived by her children, Mary Pridey, Jim (Danae) Huskey, Jane (Mike) Furhman, John Huskey; twelve grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to honor Sally's life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, Iola, Kansas. The family will greet friends immediately prior to the memorial service. Inurnment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church or Iola Public Library, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
