Sarah-Jane S. Swezey

Sarah-Jane Star Swezey was born on January 20, 1948 and went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2025.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Sarah-Jane is preceded in death by her parents, George Galyean Sr. and Ethel Galyean, and brothers, George Galyean Jr., William Galyean and Carl Galyean.
She is survived by her husband of 50+ years, Arthur Victor Swezey, her children, Evangeline Faith Kolej and Paul T. Kolej and Diane Star Kerns and Donald E. Kerns, her grandchildren, Mahlana-Marie S. Mason, Eric-Niklaus J. Mason, Zachariah V. Kolej and Brianna Kolej, Matthew A. Kolej and Ruth Kolej, Amber-Nicole L. Smith and Joshua H. Smith, Cody-Eugene T. Kerns and Isabella Kolej, her great-grandchildren, Kayden L. Smith, Eliza Celine Kolej, Miriam Grace Kolej, Eleanor-Marie S. Smith, Isaac-James E. Smith and baby boy Kolej, her sisters, Winifred "Winnie" Lawson and Ethel Barnes and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sarah-Jane loved her family and those she so easily brought into her family sphere. She was generous with all she had and withheld nothing. She was creative and talented in anything she chose to put her hand to. Such a very loving and capable person.
Sarah-Jane was loved and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

Monday, April 7, 2025, at M. E. Rodriguez Funeral Home
Visitation 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Funeral Service 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter 2
Burial 9:15 AM
