Obituary of Sarah Davis Schreiber
Sarah Elizabeth Davis Schreiber went to be with her Lord on May 21, 2022. She was the oldest of six children of the late William Welborn Ransom Davis and Bessie Sullivan Davis. She was born on October 13, 1926, in Columbia, SC.
Sarah was a member of Holy Trinity Luther Church for over 65 years. She taught Sunday school, served as church secretary and treasurer, and sat on the church's council. She retired from Seibels Bruce after many years of service in the accounting department.
In 2008, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Erhart Paul Schreiber. She is survived by one sister, Sadie Davis Hollis; her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Kathy Schreiber; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Alec Cromer; granddaughter, Erica Sweatman (Tommy); grandsons, Paul Schreiber (Susan), and Jason Cromer (Adrianne); and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Sarah will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC. Viewing will be from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. The family will greet friends following the service.
Sarah's family would like to thank the staff at The Columbia Presbyterian Community for their loving care during the past years. Thanks also to Crescent Hospice for their care in recent weeks.
