Sarah A. Schubert, a spirited and loving soul, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025. She was born on May 29, 1947, in Pontiac, Michigan, Sarah's life was a vibrant journey filled with adventure, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
Sarah was the cherished daughter of the late John and Jacklyn (Vaughn) Whysall. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and cousin, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity. Sarah was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Willie, and her brother, Marcus. Her memory will be forever held in the hearts of her surviving brother Gerald Retan; her adoring nephews David (Amy) Retan and Jerry (Michelle) Retan Jr.; and her great-nieces and nephews who brought her immeasurable joy. Her favorite cousins, Triana, Rob, and Shay, will fondly remember the special bond they shared with Sarah.
A woman of boundless energy and a zest for life, Sarah embraced every moment with enthusiasm. She was an avid lover of the great outdoors, often found bear hunting in the northern woods, a testament to her adventurous spirit. Sarah's passion for the open road was undeniable, as she rode her Harley Davidson Trike with a sense of freedom and excitement that was infectious to all who knew her.
Sarah's love for finding treasures was unmatched. She spent countless hours at rummage sales, delighting in the simple pleasure of discovering hidden gems. This hobby not only brought her joy but also connected her with a community of like-minded individuals who shared her enthusiasm for the hunt.
Above all, Sarah's love for her dogs was unparalleled. They were her constant companions, sharing in her daily life and adventures. Her kindness extended to all creatures, and her gentle nature was a comfort to those around her.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Sarah will remember her for her loving heart and kind soul. She was a beacon of light in the lives of many, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. Her adventurous spirit inspired others to embrace life with courage and joy.
Sarah's life was a beautiful tapestry of the relationships she nurtured and the experiences she cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of love and the reminder to live each day to the fullest.
