Charlotte L. Schubert, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

She was born February 22, 1936 to Alva L. and Martha M. (McKinney) Keling in Halls, Missouri.

She was deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in making beautiful cakes that brought smiles to many faces during celebrations. Sewing was another pursuit through which she expressed her creativity.

In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing. The rolling sound of a bowling ball striking pins was a familiar joy, as was the calculated focus required for a game of pool among friends. But nothing was more important to Charlotte than her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard Schubert; daughter, Cheryl Schubert; sisters, Delores Griffin, Sue Peters, and Shirley Peters; brothers, Howard, Ron, and Sam Keling; son-in-law, Jerry Gordon.

Survivors include her daughters, Jackie Hendrix (Mike Boyer) and Melody Gordon; grandchildren, Bill Hendrix (Jamie), Charity Kovac (Matt), David Cook, Jr., Hope Turner, Luke Sill (Halley), and Levi Sill (Levaneza); 16 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Peters (Jerry) and Carol Walters.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 27, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
