Sarah Lee Thomas, a beloved resident of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on September 19, 1930, in Douglasville, Georgia, Sarah lived a life full of love and dedication.

Sarah was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving daughter, Marcia Carlson, and her son, Steven L. Thomas. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Berrong (Kyle) and Stacey Smith (Justin), and her adored great-grandchildren, Zoe Berrong, and Bennett and Campbell Smith. Sarah also leaves behind three beloved nieces and nephew, Carol Sosebee, Vickie Jones, and Van Brown, a host of extended family, and her beloved fur baby, Gracie.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Van Harper and Jessie M. Harper, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. Throughout her career, Sarah worked as a Press Operator at National Envelope, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Her colleagues remember her as a diligent and kind-hearted individual who always had a smile to share. She was known for having a green thumb, who loved to pass on her knowledge of gardening to others. Many would refer to her backyard as the "botanical gardens." She was Georgia Bulldogs fan, an avid bird watcher, looking especially for cardinals which she called "Red Birds," and her family will never forget her home cooking.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, GA, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Mrs. Thomas' life will be held at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, GA, on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
