Jeffrey William Phillips, age 62, was born on April 6, 1963, in Smyrna, Georgia, and passed away on December 30, 2025, after a life defined by dedication, craftsmanship, patriotism, and unwavering love for his family.
A graduate of F.T. Wills High School in Smyrna, Georgia, Jeffrey went on to build a long and respected career as a Master Electrician with IBEW Local 613, proudly serving for more than 30 years before retiring. He was widely known for his strong work ethic, technical expertise, and deep pride in his trade. Jeffrey was a true patriot and firearm enthusiast who strongly believed in standing up for his country and its values. He was also a devoted sports fan, faithfully supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Florida Gators. Above all else, he cherished his role as a devoted father and grandfather, finding his greatest joy in time spent with his family.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Phillips.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Jean Barrow Phillips of Anderson, South Carolina; his sons, Chase Phillips (Rileigh Phillips), and Austin Phillips, all of Anderson, South Carolina; and his beloved grandchildren, Thomas James “TJ” Phillips, Elloree May Phillips, and Amelia Jade Phillips, who is expected in May.
In honoring Jeffrey’s wishes, his life will be honored privately, with no funeral or graveside service.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and the deep love he held for those closest to him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
The Phillips family has entrusted Roy Davis Funeral Home, Austell, GA with arrangements.
