Sarah D. Wilbert

Sarah D. Wilbert (nee Meck) of Elyria, passed away peacefully at Wesleyan Village on Friday July 2. 2021. Sarah was born on April 3, 1929, in Lorain, OH and attended Clearview High School. Sarah lived most of her life in Elyria, OH with her husband of 54 years, John surrounded by family. Sarah worked various jobs throughout her life, but none more important and brought her the most joy was that of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister aunt, and cousin. She enjoyed big family gatherings and enjoyed watching a Lifetime or Hallmark movie with her family at the end of the evening. Sarah is survived by her sons, David (Michele) of Elyria, John (Debra) of Pensacola, Florida, Joseph of Pensacola, Florida, and Donald of Sebring, Florida; 17 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) F. Wilbert in 2007, Daughters Linda Cassidy, and Diane Knapp, Granddaughter Kim Wilbert, and Great Grandsons Colton Elliot and Courtland. Prayer Service at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 114 Second Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035, at 9:30am on Friday, July 9 with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 320 Middle Ave, Elyria, OH 44035 at 10 am. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Elyria. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home in Elyria on Thursday, July 8 from 4-8pm.
