Sarah Ann Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Jackson, MS. She was 83 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by burial at Star Cemetery in Star, MS.
Sarah was born on November 16, 1941, to Erastus Busby and Annie Mae Thames Busby in Magee, MS. Sarah and her family moved to Jackson when she was 4 years old and has lived in Star since 1977 where she was a member of Star Baptist Church. She loved cooking and watching cooking shows. In her earlier life she made wedding cakes and flowers. She was a true homemaker. Sarah also loved spending time on her iPad and with her faithful companion, Tina Ree Williams. Her Yorkie.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Erastus and Annie Mae Busby; husband, Eddie Williams; son, Phil Williams; and brother, E. L. Busby. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Gregory (Pete) of Brandon; sons, Randy Williams (Karen) of Pearl, Jamie Williams (Robin) of Florence, and Steve Williams (Jane) of Florence; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Jake Busby (Sherri) of Pearl; sister, Lynda Ethridge (Danny) of Union; and her faithful companion, her Yorkie, Tina Ree Williams.
