Sarah Virginia Bishop Wood of Murfreesboro, NC, answered the Master's call at her residence on Friday, June 13, 2025. A native of Hertford County, NC, she was born on June 21, 1927 to the late Matilda Bishop.
She was a homemaker and the wife of the late James "Gus" Wood.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: five daughters, Ann Wood Washington (Robbin) of Chicago, IL, Phyllis Wood Davis (Eddie) of Como, NC, Mildred Trina Wood Jones of Chicago, IL, Freda Wood Savage of Stafford, VA and Terri Wood of Upper Marlboro, MD; two sons, Bernard Wood of Como, NC and Christopher Wood of Chattanooga, TN; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many friends.
