With heavy hearts, we announce that Saralyn R. Foster, 92, of Duluth, GA, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
She was born in Decatur, GA, on March 5, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Ruby Reeves; her husband, Gene; daughters Karen, Diane, Debra, and granddaughter Kelly. Saralyn is survived by her son, Kevin, his wife Carole, and their five daughters; her six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as six bonus grandchildren.
Saralyn worked at the Georgia State Capitol for 34 years as secretary for the Senate. She was a longtime member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Lilburn, GA, where she was involved in women's groups, including Dayspring.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating her life during visitation on Sunday, August 10, at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Decatur Cemetery.
As we remember Saralyn, let us not forget her love of memories, her words of wisdom, and the advice she gave-whether you asked for it or not.
