Mrs Saraswathi Rangarao of Furlong, PA passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was 98 years old.

Born in Mysore, India, Saraswathi immigrated to the United States in 1982. She was a resident of Illinois and New Jersey, prior to moving to Furlong, PA.

Saraswathi raised a big family with love and patience under the most unfavorable circumstances, after losing her husband Vasudevarao in 1964. She was a loving mother to five children, whom she guided to become proficient professionals in the US and nurturing parents in their own right. She was a grandmother to eight grandchildren, and great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.

Saraswathi carried a beautiful smile, and spread kindness and love to her elders, peers, and the younger generations alike. She was always open and welcomed all with open arms.

Saraswathi did not seek recognition or put herself first, but her influence was ever present. She quietly but strongly supported her family from behind the scenes. She lived with kindness at the center of everything and touched people well beyond her own family. In short, she was an ascetic who was a model of grace and resilience.

Saraswathi's favorite hobbies included reading spiritual books, chanting the Lord's names, and singing Bhajans. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, playing games like Boggle, Scrabble, Sudoku, carrom, and more with her grandchildren.

Saraswathi's absence will be deeply felt but her presence will continue in the stories we share.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, Sepetember 4, 20205 at 9:30 am. A viewing will follow from 10:30-11:30 am following the service.

Private cremation will occur after the viewing period.
