Sarena James Obituary

Sarena James. 61, died Friday, June 27, 2025 at San Angelo. A memorial service will be 3 PM Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel.
Sarena was born on August 12, 1963 in Seminole, TX to Lilian Franklin & Gerald Quillin. She moved from Howard in 1984 from Andrews, TX. She married Curtis James on February 25, 2000.
Sarena was a homemaker, but also did housekeeping. She also worked a number of years at Higginbotham-Bartlett. She loved arts, crafts, gardening, but most of all time with grandkids and all family trips.
Sarena is survived by her husband: Curtis James of Big Spring; 1 daughter: Katerah Kelly (Kermit); 2 sons: Woodson McEwen (Sheena) of Big Spring & Jimmy McEwen (Rocio) of Odessa; 2 sisters: Sonya Omans of Kermit & Tracie Quillin of Seminole; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Sarena was preceded in death by 1 sister: Renee Brownell.
