It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sarith Meas, a beacon of love and resilience, who peacefully departed this life on May 24, 2025, in Temecula, California, surrounded by the warmth of her family. Born on March 13, 1947, in Cambodia, Sarith's extraordinary journey brought her to the United States in 1981, where she cultivated a life defined by unwavering strength and deep devotion to her loved ones.
Sarith's legacy lives on through her cherished family: her six beloved children, Chaline, Deena, Chalida, Chalidine, Rachel, and Jonathan; her adored grandchildren, Lisette, Jordan, Kanya, Leah, Kane, Gabby, Gigi, and Riley; and her dear brother, Lee. Her nephew, Vat, treated her like a mother, enriching her life with regular conversations and shared meals. Sarith was profoundly blessed by the love and companionship of her husband of 50 years, Lim, who preceded her in death.
Her children made it a priority to show Sarith just how much she meant to them and how deeply she was loved. The affection extended beyond her children, as all her sons-in-law embraced her as a mother, showering her with love and respect, which she reciprocated wholeheartedly.
A woman of intellect, Sarith attended college and a trade school in Cambodia, laying the foundation for her lifelong passion for learning, which she instilled in her children. Upon her arrival in the United States, she embraced her role as a homemaker with grace, dedicating herself to her family and her faith. She lovingly sewed traditional Cambodian garments for her community, showcasing the exceptional skills she had honed since her youth.
Sarith's interests were diverse and fulfilling. As a regular attendee at her local Cambodian church, she found solace and community. She enjoyed the challenges of puzzles and cherished the time spent studying the Bible, reflecting her relentless pursuit of knowledge and understanding. Those who knew Sarith were touched by her determined spirit and unwavering love.
As a devoted mother, Sarith served as an anchor of strength and support for her children. Her resilience allowed her to navigate life's trials with grace, teaching her family the importance of perseverance and the power of love. She found joy in the little moments, especially in conversations with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with warmth and affection.
To describe Sarith as loving is to capture the very essence of her being. Every action, every word, and every moment of her life was infused with love, driving her to ensure that her children received an education and had better opportunities than she and Lim had experienced. Sarith Meas will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her boundless love, and the profound impact she made on all who were fortunate enough to know her. We all love her dearly and will miss her beyond measure.
