Satya Pal Singal, 91, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025. A respected officer of the Indian Civil Services, he was known for his decisive leadership, unwavering integrity, and lifelong devotion to public service.
Born in India on August 26, 1933, he earned degrees in Political Science, History, and Punjabi, followed by a master's in History. He joined the Indian Civil Services at the age of 23, serving in senior government roles with distinction.
Mr. Singal moved to the U.S. in 2004 to live with his sons. He remained intellectually sharp and spiritually centered, guided throughout his life by his Guru, Swami Mohandas Ji Maharaj. At age 90, he published his autobiography, *Straight Walk, Straight Talk*.
A family man above all, he was deeply connected to loved ones, known for his wit, discipline, thoughtful birthday wishes, and a phone full of cherished family photos.
He is survived by his three children-Dinesh, Rakesh, and Ritu-and their spouses; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
**Cremation & prayers: 1–3 PM at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Route 27, North Brunswick.**
