Savannah "Gladys" Rayford, 65, of Mounds, Illinois, passed away on October 2, 2025
at Integrity Healthcare of Marion in Marion, Illinois. She was born on September 2,
1960 in Hayti, Missouri, to the late George and Savannah Rayford.
She was a member of Praise Outreach Ministries in Carbondale, IL, under the
leadership of Pastor Brenda Holder. She dedicated her life to God and got saved.
She loved church and serving God and spreading love and kindness throughout her
community.
Savannah was known for her heart of gold. She loved fishing and riding her bike, and
she had a special gift for making people smile and helping others. Her favorite
saying-& quote ;I know that's right.& quote;-will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by stepfather, Charles Williams, her daughters, Amy (Leland)
Sherrill and Cutsie (Justin) James; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her
special friend, Gary Reed; and a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. She
was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mark Roberts. There will be no Services for Savannah Gladys Rayford. Per her families request cremation rites will be accorded. Professional services and care have been Entrusted to Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Illinois. Online condolences may be left at massiefuneralhome.com
