Scenie (Teen) Eudy Hunter, 92 of Mount Pleasant passed away peacefully on November 19.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, November 23 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant officiated by Rev. Earl Bradshaw and Rev. Natalie Culp. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30-3:00. A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, November 24 at 2:00 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Mrs. Hunter was born on July 3, 1933 in Stanly County to the late Grover and Lectie Huneycutt Eudy. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Talbert and Carroll Hunter and her siblings, Estelle Whitley, Mattie Bell Smith, Elizabeth Furr, Gertie Allmon, Curtis Eudy, Ernest Eudy, Jessie Eudy, Ann Page and Peggy Hartsell.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her brother, Henry D. Eudy (Nell) of Charlotte; brother-in-law, J.D. Hartsell of Locust; and special friend, Carl Allman of Mount Pleasant. She is also survived by nine nieces; Belinda Hartsell, Sheila Aldridge, Renee Hatley, Teresa Sides, Joyce Harris, Vickie Yow, Linda Strickland, Mary Mitchell, Darlene Roberts and eleven nephews; Dexter Allmon, Roger Smith, Gerald Eudy, Gary Eudy, Mahlone Eudy, Runt Furr, Mike Eudy, Jerry Eudy, Danny Hartsell, Dennis Hartsell, Mark Eudy.
Mrs. Hunter was a member of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to her special caregivers over the past two years, Mary Mitchell, Shelia Chapman, Nancy Rogers, Priscilla Clough, Tonya Swaringen, and Carl Allman. We are also appreciative of the staff of Home Instead and especially Hospice of Cabarrus County.
