Scharlene “Faith” Mansfield, 78, of Helena OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 17, 2025 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on January 10, 1947 in Bean Station, TN to Martin and Amanda (Sharp) Bass. Faith graduated from Payne High School in 1964.
Faith married Mike Mansfield on July 27, 1964 and raised a family together. She retired after thirty-eight years of service as a school bus driver. Following her retirement, she enjoyed gardening and caring for her animals. Her love of nature and her kindness were evident to all who knew her and her legacy continues to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
Faith is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Mike Mansfield; her children, Lisa McCoy, Wendy (Todd) Delventhal, Paul (Kim) Mansfield; sisters, Jewel Kurtz, LaDonna Juleen Crawford; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Martin, Paul, Dale and Warren Bass; sisters, Joyce Gibson and Kay Bass.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 20, 2025 from Noon to 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Faith’s Life beginning at 1:00 pm at Fremont Church of the Nazarene, 1925 N. 5th St, Fremont, OH 43420.
Memorials can be made in Faith’s honor to the Fremont Church of the Nazarene.
