Scherl A. Zamary

Scherl A. (Palovich) Zamary gave her spirit up to the Lord on Saturday November 8, 2025 at home with her family at her side.

Scherl was born August 12, 1957 to Edward & Virginia Palovich of Hubbard. She was a 1975 graduate of Hubbard High School and then graduated from Youngstown Business College.

Scherl began her career working for United Paper Products as a receptionist then went on to work for the director of Human Resources at Youngstown Hospital Association. While living in Champaign, Illinois she worked as an assistant to the Dean of Student Services at Parkland College. After returning to Youngstown to start a family she worked at H & R Block and

Financial Services Management. Later she went on to start her own courrier business that she retired from in 2020. She also had a busy cake decorating business that she continued as long as she could.

Scherl always remained active in the community as a volunteer for St. Pat's Festival, youth league soccer coach, band mom for the high school band, worked all the local elections and was a member of the local American Business Women's Association.

Above all else, Scherl lived for her children and their families. Any time there was an opportunity to celebrate a birthday, take a camping trip, visit a museum or amusement park she was ready to go. Helping them with school work, sharing her experience, and meeting their friends brought her great joy. Going boating and fishing with her sons, their families and friends created lasting memories that she often reflected on.

Scherl leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years Ed, son Jordan (Jessica) and daughters Grace, Amelia and Julia of Cape Coral, Florida; son Eric (Noelle) and daughter Delaney of Bristolville, Ohio. She also leaves her sister Vicki (Jerry) Ruminski of Hubbard.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 12 Noon with calling hours prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
