Scipione Mendicki Obituary

Scipione was born on February 16, 1920 and passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Scipione was a resident of Frontenac, Kansas at the time of his passing. He attended Frontenac schools and graduated from Frontenac High School. Mendicki drafted into the United States Army in 1942 and served in Patton's 71st Division during WWII. He was married to Dorothy C. Dittman. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 27) at the Frontenac United Methodist Church with Rev. Annie Ricker officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery where the Frontenac American Legion Post No. 43 will conduct graveside military rites. Memorial Service Thursday, Oct 27, 2016 10:00 AM Frontenac United Methodist Church 102 S. Cayuga St. Frontenac, KS 66763. Memorials may be given to the Frontenac United Methodist Church, Frontenac Education Foundation or American Heart Association. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
