Scott Matthew Boyer, age 56, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of Barbara A. (Barlow) Boyer and the late Kenneth T. Boyer.
Scott dedicated his life to the safety and service of his community. He spent his career as a 911 Dispatcher for the Fall River Police and Fire Departments and also served as EMT for the City of Fall River. His passion for public safety extended far beyond his daily duties; he truly loved the fire and police departments, they were his whole life. He also served as the Battalion Chief of Special Services EMA for nearly 20 years as well as the Secretary/Clerk of the Fall River Fire Museum.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his sister, Kimberly Boyer of Fall River; a few half-siblings; his niece and nephew, Chyanne and Cameron Raposo.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main Street Chapel, 2064 South Main Street in Fall River.
His funeral will be held Monday, December 29, 2025 at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, South Main Street, Fall River. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
