Scott Lloyd Brown, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Scott was born on November 8, 1950, in
Blackfoot, Idaho, to Lloyd Elison Brown and Donna Mae Murdock Brown. When he was twelve years old, his family moved to sunny Southern California, where he was raised in Hemet and graduated from Hemet High School.
Scott was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a proud Eagle Scout, and served a two-year mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, an experience that deeply shaped his life and testimony. He later attended Brigham Young University.
In 1974, Scott married Brenda Lee Gregory in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They moved to Southern California where he worked as an ambulance driver. His first-born son, Jeremy, passed away at birth and his first daughter, Alicia, was born. They later moved to Idaho Falls, where he began working in a dental lab and his second daughter, Brittany, was born. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to
Boise, Idaho, where his sons Logan and Landon were born. He founded Scott's Premier Dental Ceramics, building a successful business through skill, precision, and hard work.
In 1991, Scott married Sheila Ann (Dunster) Brown in
Boise, Idaho, with whom he shared 34 years of love, partnership, and family life. Together they raised their family, including her children - Jon, Justin, and Jenny. Scott was a devoted and hands-on father. He loved coaching his children's sports teams and when he wasn't coaching, he could almost always be found cheering from the sidelines. He was a passionate Boise State Broncos fan and a longtime season ticket holder for both football and basketball, rarely missing a game. An avid outdoorsman, Scott loved riding his dirt bike in the mountains and spent countless hours fishing, backpacking, camping, and hunting. He received his pilot's license and loved flying the aircraft at Ponderosa Aero Club. He enjoyed spending summers with his family at his cabin on the lake in Island Park, Idaho, and he was a gifted carpenter. Scott faithfully served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and particularly loved his time as Scout leader. Scott will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family, his faith in Jesus Christ, and his quiet willingness to serve and help others.
Scott is survived by his wife, Sheila Ann Brown; his children Alicia (Marcus) Lowry, Brittany (Brad) Steadman, Logan (Mallory) Brown, and Landon (Melissa) Brown; his stepchildren: Jon (Laura) Glauser, Justin Glauser, and Jenny (David) Benson; his cherished grandchildren: Ellie, Lucas, Clara, Spencer, Owen, Ty, Trey, Halley, Ashley, Nixon, Layla, Kate, Audrey, Jakobe, Brooks, Sophie, Lilly, David, Savanna, Colista, Ken, Keisha, Glen, Ben, Gabriel, Alanna, Emily, Charlie, James, Emily, and Andy; his siblings: Vickie (Dave) Kramer, Cynthia (Greg) Eggleston, and Steven (Lisa) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeremy Brown (1975), as well as his parents, Lloyd Elison Brown (2006) and Donna Mae (Murdock) Brown (2021).
