Scott Crowl Obituary

Published by Macy Allnutt Funeral Service-Eaton Chapel on May 6, 2009.
On Wednesday, May 6th at 6:55 p.m. Scott Allen Crowl left his friends and family to go fishing and hunting. He went fishing for a more peaceful stream with calmer waters and he went hunting for loved ones that he missed and held dear in his heart. Scott left many co-workers, friends, neighbors and family behind that will miss his loving kind heart and his joyful laughter. Scott was born in Chanute, Kansas, on December 26, 1954 to Wanda and Clyde Crowl. He was the youngest sibling to Clifford and Carol. Scott's father was in the Air Force and his family moved to Junction City where he lived and then graduated from High School in 1973. He attended Salina VoTech in Salina, Kansas, where he received his Certificate for Auto Body Repair. He accepted a job repairing auto bodies at Don Coates Chevrolet in Junction City, Kansas. While working there he was offered a management position at JJ Chevrolet in Salina, Kansas. Knowing he couldn't pound fenders for the rest of his life, he packed up his tools, his wife and dogs and moved to Salina where he managed the Body Shop for several years. While in Salina, he also worked for an RV Shop briefly before moving to Fort Collins, Colorado. He has proudly been the Body Shop Manager at Dellenbach Chevrolet for the past twenty years. Scott's Hobbies were hunting and fishing but his life was his children. Scott accomplished many things in his short lifetime but if you had asked him what his most important and proudest accomplishment was – he would answer without hesitation – Colby, Garrett, and Morgan. No man was more proud of his children. Scott was predeceased by his mother and father and his four legged companion – Spike. Survivors include his sister Carol Crowl of Junction City, KS; a brother Clifford and Amber Crowl of Oxford, KS; his nephew Mark Crowl of KS; his niece Bobbi Holland of AZ; his oldest son LCPL Colby Crowl just back from his 3rd tour in Iraq; his middle son, LCPL Garrett Crowl, currently on leave and heading to Okinawa, Japan; and his daughter, Morgan Crowl, finishing up her junior year at Fort Collins High School, and the Allison Family. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, Co 80526. A memorial service will be held 4:30 pm Tuesday, May 12th at the Allnutt Drake Road Chapel.

It's been a long time since I saw Scott last, but I carry a soft spot in my heart for him. He was always so kind to me and a lot of fun to be around. When I remember him, it is always with a huge smile on his face.
