Scott E. Dabney age 33 of Newaygo died Thursday, May 2, 2024 at home. He was born November 26, 1990 in Aurora, IL the son of Michael and Kathy (Mason) Dabney. Scott was a mail handler at the U.S. Post Office Distribution Center in Grand Rapids. He loved his cat, Otis, had a great sense of humor, was very caring and loyal to his friends. He enjoyed researching cars and was a huge fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas. Surviving are his parents, Michael and Kathy Dabney; sister, Emily (Phil) Maxwell; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to an Autism or mental health charity of choice. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.

I worked with Scott when he was a safety captain. He was detailed and really tried to make a difference. He was always friendly and said "HI".
