Scott Eldon Dayley, 36, a resident of Silver City, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his residence. He was born to his parents Anthony Scott and Rubie Dee (Grimes) Dayley in Albuquerque, NM on August 24, 1987.
Scott was a man who was loved by all. His personality was infectious with laughter. He showed love and compassion to everyone he came across. He would give the jacket off his back to someone in need and put himself in harm's way, if it meant he could help someone. His biggest love was his family and his three children. He may have been big and intimidating but underneath that was a soft cuddly teddy bear who loved with his heart. Losing him will leave a hole in many lives.
He is survived by his mother; his wife, Christina Marie Maunu; his two sons Anthony Scott Dayley and James Patrick Maunu; his daughter Katie-Lynn Marie Dayley all of Silver City, NM; his sisters Samantha Pounders (Dallas) of Silver City and Dawna Dayley (Maria) of Los Lunas, NM; and his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
No services are planned at this time.
Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory "Trust care for the ones you love" ~ 575-537-0777. To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com.

We tend to put things off to a brighter, sunnier day. Until you realize that you are too late. And too many brighter and sunnier days have passed. He was a good brother to me and deserved a long and blessed life more than I do. I should have reached out sooner. And if I could I would happily trade the remainder of my life, to give him more time with the people he loved and that loved him.
