Scott A. Dickmyer, age 67, of Red Lion, passed away on September 8, 2022 at WellSpan York Hospital.
Scott was born in Dallastown on March 24, 1955 and was the son of Edward and Nancy (Rohrbaugh) Dickmyer. He graduated from Dallastown Area High School Class of 1973 and retired from Markey's Building Maintenance, Inc. in Red Lion. Scott was a skilled craftsman and built his own furniture, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, riding his Harley, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Scott also cherished the time he spent with his loving family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Scott is survived by his mother Nancy Dickmyer; his children Dawn M. Heiland, Rachel L. Glatfleter, and Sarah J. Gilbert and husband Tecoar Gilbert, III; his 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Terry Dickmyer, David Dickmyer, and Daniel Dickmyer; and his sisters Kay Fink, Roxanne McDonald, Holly Murphy, Lisa Shearer, and Tracy Stiffler. Scott was preceded in death by his father Edward Dickmyer; his son-in-law Michael S. Heiland; and his sister Beth Shaffer.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Scott's life will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 7:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York, 3670 E. Market St., York, PA 17402. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00PM – 7:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott's memory may be made to the York Chapter of Not One More, 1325 E. Market St., Floor 1, York, PA 17403.

Even though we've been out of touch for years, I'll always remember the times that we spent together right out of high school. Those were most carefree and adventurous times. As the song goes, "Those were the best days of my life".
