Scott Patrick Emerle, 58, of Schenectady, NY, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with Frontotemporal dementia. Born on August 19, 1967, in Schenectady, Scott was the beloved son of Dennis and Valerie (Busk) Emerle. He was a 1985 graduate of Linton High School. Scott was a man of many talents, but above all, he was a devoted father, son, husband, brother, and friend.

He was the proud owner of his own construction company and built two family homes from the ground up - a true testament to his skill, work ethic, and dedication. He found great joy and peace in the outdoors, especially hiking and fishing, and was most at home surrounded by nature or working in his barn wood shop on his latest woodworking project.

A lover of animals, Scott cherished the companionship of his many Border Collies and a small menagerie of farm animals that brought life and laughter to the home. Music was another shared love in the family - Scott took piano lessons alongside his children, embracing learning and creativity with humility and joy.

He gave selflessly of his time to his community and family, most notably as a beloved softball coach throughout his children's childhoods. Whether he was on the field, in the wood shop, or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Scott lived with passion and purpose. His dry humor, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.

Scott is survived by his children Joshua (Carol) Emerle, Jessica Emerle, Jeffrie (Emma) Heck, and Meghan (Colby) Krogh; his best friend and former wife Deidre Emerle; his parents Dennis and Valerie Emerle; his sister JoAnne Emerle; his brother Mark (Danielle) Emerle; and his cherished niece Sophia Emerle.

Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., on Saturday, October 4th, from 11 AM to 1 PM, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Scott's memory to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (www.theaftd.org).

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sun and staff for their loving care and compassion during Scott's final chapter.
