Scott Matthew Ezold

Heaven has gained another angel. It is with deep sadness that we share with you the unexpected passing of our beloved Scott Matthew Ezold of Colchester, Connecticut. He was a loving son, brother, and father. Scott passed away suddenly on October 16th, 2025, at the age of 31 years old.
Scott is lovingly remembered by his mother Lisa DiLoreto (Ezold) and stepfather Donato DiLoreto of Rocky Hill, CT, his beautiful and loving children Michael and Jackson Ezold and their mother Hayley Green and son Thomas Green of Colchester. He is forever remembered by his brothers Peter Ezold Jr. and son Andrew of Old Wethersfield, CT; Christopher and Kelly Ezold of East Hampton, CT; Evan Ezold and his two children Cole and Layla Ezold of Lebanon, CT; his step brothers Robert and Brittany DiLoreto of Jupiter FL; Nicholas and Nicole DiLoreto and their daughter Olivia of Glastonbury CT. He is also remembered by his grandmother Mary Ezold of Branford, CT; Donna Foster and Dennis Harrington of Surry Maine and Cousin Jody and Robert Carlson of Middletown, CT.
Scott is predeceased by his father Peter Ezold Sr and Grandfather Andrew Ezold; Robert and Barbara Hall maternal grandparents and John Vieira, Kenneth Vieria, Raymond Therrien and Gerald Labb.
Scott was born on December 10th, 1993, in New Britain CT. He was the son of Peter Ezold Sr and Lisa Jane Ezold (Vieira-Hall). He grew up in Colchester Connecticut where he lived until his passing. Scott played many sports in his youth and developed many lifelong friendships. Scott continued with his passion for sports and gravitated towards basketball throughout his high school years. Scott attended Norwich technical high school and graduated in 2012 learning all the skills of heating ventilation and air conditioning. He then pursued his career in HVAC as an apprentice. As he built his skills he was employed by numerous commercial HVAC services. Scott excelled in his field and was committed to his career and decided to venture into his own business which he named EZ-Air. Scott continued his hard work and dedication to his business until his passing. During the beginning of his career his two beautiful children were born. This was now the most important part of his life. Scott was not only a father but was considered a super dad. Any moment that was spent not working you would find him right by their side doing all the new and exciting things he could come up with such as playing sports, cooking, gardening, learning or just snuggling in for movie nights. He was a devoted father, and his children were his life.
Scott lived life to the fullest and was a practical joker with a generous heart full of love he never hesitated to let people know he loved them. Everyone who knew him loved him for his selfless soul and giving nature. His smile and personality would light up the room. Whatever Scott put his mind to do was determined to be completed. In his downtime he loved nature, cooking, gardening, swimming, hiking, fishing, or riding through the woods. Listening to music and always working on house projects as well. He was a huge Giants and Mets fan, and the list goes on and on to a life well lived. As the day ends you would find him sitting by a warm fire always watching the many sunsets, he loved sunsets.
Family time was especially important to Scott, he loved spending time with his brothers' pondering projects, riding, cooking or just sitting around and laughing. Family traditions and devotion were the most important things to him.
Scott leaves so many more loving friends and family behind. A huge part of his life includes his uncles, aunts, cousins and many close friends both old and new who were all like family to him. We also must include those so near and dear to Scott's heart. Thank you for the years of love and friendship. You were such a huge part of Scotts' life, Ryan and Tina Longo, and their family, as well as the Morrin family. He genuinely loved you with all his heart and soul. Remember the laughter, long talks, and love.
Another large part of Scott's life was his love for animals. He leaves behind his three dogs Miss Millie, Coco, Amme and cat Garfield of which he loved so much.
May Scotts' memory and laughter bring comfort and peace to everyone who he touched. Scott will forever be missed.
