In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and a family gathering will be planned. Memorial contributions may be given towards breast cancer awareness, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, c/o the funeral home.
Age 61, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids on November 12, 2023. He was born in Winter Park, FL, on October 19, 1962, the son of the late Faust and Linda (Jackson) Hickman. Scott had a great sense of humor, wonderful smile and was a joy to know. He graduated from Otsego High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged he returned to make Southwest Michigan his home. He owned and operated Hickman Industrial Insulation for several years. When not working he loved spending time on the water fishing and boating. He enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music; spending time outdoors working in the yard and being with his pet dogs, 'Layla and Santana'. Above all Scott loved his family and friends. He was especially proud of his four children and many grandchildren and leaves behind special memories to cherish. Scott will be missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his children, Sarah (Sean) Helm, Jess (Jason) Lindenberg, Lucas (Caitlin McAndrew) Hickman and Mitchell (Haley) Hickman; several grandchildren; two siblings, Tamera (Kirk) Wise and Michael (Wendy) Hickman; several other relatives and friends.
