Scott Foster Hoffa, 59, of Versailles, was born December 4, 1963, in Greene County, MO. Son of the late Dr. Howard and JoAnn (Brockfield) Hoffa. He passed to his Heavenly Home surrounded by his family on April 22, 2023, at the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
On October 29, 1983, in Stover, he was married to Kimberly L. (Comstock).
Scott was a 1982 graduate of Stover High School and attended diesel tech school in Michigan. He worked as a John Deere mechanic for 30 plus years for Wenger's, Schaffter, and Sydenstricker. With his time at John Deere, he was able to travel to Sri Lanka to help establish John Deere in an international farming community.
He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles.
Scott loved to duck hunt, fish, spend time on the farm, working on equipment, and driving the church bus with Todd. He enjoyed sharing his love of his hobbies with his kids and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Kim, of the home, he is survived by his four children, Ryan Hoffa and wife Karen of Stover, Derek Hoffa and wife Stephanie of Benningtion, NE, Corey Hoffa and wife Evie of Eldon, and Carrie Hoffa and fiancé Trevor Gottschalk of Versailles; nine grandchildren, Eli, Lillian, Colton, Finnlee, Ava, Nellie, Charlotte, Hadley, Dorothy, and expecting another in November; and a sister, Jennifer Duckworth of Bonner Springs, KS.
He was preceded in death by two infant children; two infant grandchildren; a brother, Kenny Hoffa; and Kim's parents, Alan and Dorothy Comstock.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Versailles, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice Compassus or Capital Region Medical Center Foundation.
Arrangements are in the care of Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home.
