Vickey Laverne Worthley, 72, of Stover, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1953, in Harrisonville, MO, a daughter of Frank Harold Randall and Nigel Josephine Lavern (Hibdon) Randall.
Vickey was baptized at the Florence United Methodist Church at the age of 14 and remained a member throughout her life. On May 18, 1973, in that same church, she married the love of her life, Walter Worthley, who survives of the home.
Vickey’s greatest joy came from raising her four children and later caring for her twelve grandchildren until they were old enough to head off to school. Her home was always open—whether you needed a hot meal, a listening ear, or just a place to feel loved, you could always find it there. She never missed a ball game, concert, or event that her children, grandchildren, or even nieces and nephews were part of. Family came first to Vickey, and she lived that belief every single day.
She loved the simple pleasures of life—fishing, camping, and never turning down the chance to gamble a little for fun. Her meals brought everyone together, and her presence made even ordinary days feel special. Though she worked for Marriott’s restaurant at one time, her true calling was in creating a warm, welcoming home and caring for the people she loved.
Vickey will be remembered as being the loving heart and true monarch of her family. She dedicated herself to her family and created a home filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of her incredible cooking.
Survivors include her husband Walter of 52 years; four children, Cody Worthley (Jennifer), Jason Worthley (Aimee), Jennifer Thompson (Justin), and Ashley Mosher (Jason) all of Stover; twelve grandchildren, Colby, Shelby, Landon, Camren, Gracie, Madison, Shane, Cody, Kennedy, Miley, Braden, and Josephine; six great-grandchildren, Rayna, Magnolia, Emersyn, Marshall, Audrey, and Cason; one brother, Ronald Randall (Donna) of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jennie Martin, Cody Randall, Waneta Mertgen, Randy Randall and a twin brother, Ricky Reed Randall, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover. Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Florence United Methodist Cemetery in Florence. Memorial contributions are suggested to Stover Shop with a Cop.
