Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Homes - StoverCathryn Irene Moesch, 90, of Versailles, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was born September 5, 1935, in Versailles, daughter of George Andrew and Ethel Irene (Ritchie) Allen.
On June 3, 1956, at First Baptist Church in Versailles, she was united in marriage to Charles Albert “Chuck” Moesch. They were blessed with six children and enjoyed 63 years together before his passing on August 19, 2019.
A 1953 graduate of Morgan County R-II High School, Cathy worked a variety of jobs before joining her husband in managing their farm. Together, Chuck and Cathy purchased property in the Glensted community, where they operated a dairy farm. Cathy was devoted to the daily work of milking cows, and her strong, capable hands were also effective in keeping her kids in line. She found joy in tending her flower beds and garden, sewing, canning, and cooking, especially baking. She was happiest when ensuring her family—and anyone who walked through her door—was well fed. To Cathy, everyone needed to be fed.
Surviving are four children, Dennis Moesch, of Versailles, Sue Kohler, of Jefferson City, Judy Kindle (Jamie), of Sedalia, and Mike Moesch (Lesa), of Versailles; fifteen grandchildren: Jamie (A.J.), Michael (Jillian), Andrew, Melissa, Betsie (Adam), Tanner, Dustin, CJ, Tiffani (Drew), Matt, Nik (Paige), Breena (Wade), Mikayla (Dalton), Kyle (Stephanie), and Hailey (Jonas); 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Glen and Chuck Moesch; son-in-law, Kevin Kohler; and five brothers, Andrew, Robert, William, Melvin, and Kenneth Allen.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Glensted United Methodist Church near Versailles, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 am. Rev. Pati Robertson will officiate.
Casket bearers will be grandchildren: Andrew Moesch, Matt Kohler, Nik Moesch, Wade Barnett, Tanner Moesch, Dustin Moesch, Michael McGee, and Dalton Helms.
Burial will be in Glensted Cemetery.
